This looks really good. Not sure if white or silver would go best on a blue car.
It’s basically 100% that a blue SE with a 6 speed is going to be purchased in the near future. I’ll ride on the 16s until winter rolls around when the eco friendly all seasons will be ditched for some snows. Then it needs some 17s or 18s to tighten up the handling along with some sticky-ish tires for summer use.

Keep 16" diameter
with the Integrales and
get a stiffer
rear sway bar instead?
Keeps it
legal fo
r
SCCA
stock-class autocross.

I might need to test drive one of those...

18s are OEM on the XSE trim which shares a base class with the SE so that wouldn't be an issue. My region also doesn't use SCCA classing since we only have ~30 cars an event. The 16s result in a really tall sidewall and Integrales are only offered in 17s and 18s.

Its way better than it has any right to be. It’s set up on the softer side but still handles well with minimal roll without being jarring. 168hp is adequate but it’s not truly fast, just quick. The 6 speed feels good and the clutch is crazy light. Overall it's a very nice place to be while still being somewhat sporty. I'm super impressed with how much the Corolla has improved for this generation, my 06 was a horrible car.

Ah, didn’t know that ! I’d recommend 17" on a meatier tire so it’s not too rough on daily drivin g but still gives you lots of grippy tire choices !

I’m personally digging the way the 17s look and it gives me .2" less sidewall than I am used to with my Mini. 18s just seem to fill the wheel well better though. I’ll see how I feel when spring rolls around.

Sounds like a plan. I’m curious about whether or not the Corolla’s speedometer will still read correctly or show a higher speed than reality with a smaller-than-stock circumference tire.

I would read wrong if the diameter was wrong but that's easily avoided by buying the recommended alternate tire sizes.
